Softball Recap: Willow Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Willow had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 20-9 margin over the Landry Buccaneers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Willow's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Landry, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8-1.

Willow and Landry are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Lions will square off against Madison Prep Academy on Saturday. Willow's pitchers better be ready for this one: Madison Prep Academy has averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Landry, they will face off against St. Michael on Saturday. The Warriors will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
