Football Recap: Choctawhatchee Falls Short Against Ranked Pace

Choctawhatchee faced Pace in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Indians fell 19-7 to the Patriots. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 21-14.

Choctawhatchee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tishelle Boweles and Maddy Faris.

Amaya Pablo produced another solid performance rushing for 95 yards and two TDs on only ten carries, while also throwing for 90 yards and one touchdown for Pace.

Choctawhatchee's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Pace, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Choctawhatchee didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 52-0 victory against Pine Forest on the 15th. As for Pace, they have also already played their next matchup, a 15-6 win against Crestview on the 16th.
