Baseball Recap: Shenendehowa Wins Going Away Against Averill Park

Shenendehowa won the last time they faced Averill Park and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Plainsmen were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Warriors. The Plainsmen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Zachary Milano looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Amaar Bhusri, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that he has hit this season. Josh Soroka was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Shenendehowa is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Averill Park, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.
