Soccer Recap: Marmion's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Naperville Central, Marmion was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Brother Rice Crusaders a 3-0 shutout. Given Marmion's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Brother Rice are ranked 211th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jamin Berman and Jayden Linares scored all three of Marmion's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Marmion's victory bumped their record up to 12-4-2. As for Brother Rice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11-4.
