Baseball Preview: Pueblo West Cyclones vs. Pueblo County Hornets        
        
		
            
 The Pueblo West Cyclones will head out on the road to  square off against  the Pueblo County Hornets at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Both teams come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 On Tuesday, Pueblo West made easy work of Pueblo Centennial  and carried off  a  12-2 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Pueblo West.
  Blake Mares looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Donovan Robinson was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Joseph Mendoza, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Pueblo County waltzed into their contest  on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of  8-4.
  Johnathan Gonzales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits.
 On the hitting side,  Jonas Chavira and  Donovan Walsh did most of the damage at the plate:  Chavira  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Walsh  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 The  victory  got Pueblo West back to even at 7-7. As for Pueblo County, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with that  win, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Pueblo West was able to grind out a solid  victory over Pueblo County in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023, winning  3-0. Does  Pueblo West have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pueblo County turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
