Football Recap: Western Hills Cougars vs. Decatur Eagles

After flying high against Diamond Hill-Jarvis two weeks ago, Western Hills came back down to earth. The Western Hills Cougars had to suffer through a 66-7 loss at the hands of the Decatur Eagles. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Jed Ross looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 205 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. A healthy portion of that aerial production (98 yards to be exact) went to Cayden Forrest.

Western Hills' loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Decatur, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Springtown the next time they take the field. Western Hills will head out to face Springtown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Decatur will host them at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.
