Basketball Recap: Maple Heights Mustangs vs. Fuchs Mizrachi Mayhem
The Maple Heights Mustangs came tearing into Wednesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they left with even more momentum. They slipped by Fuchs Mizrachi 44-43.
Maple Heights was led to victory by Treasure Cistrunk and Brooklyn Dillard. Cistrunk almost dropped a double-double on 11 rebounds and nine steals, while Dillard scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Morgan Wilson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Maple Heights' victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Fuchs Mizrachi, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maple Heights will face off against the Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Warrensville Heights will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. As for Fuchs Mizrachi, they will head out on the road to take on the Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
