            Baseball Recap: Bishop McDevitt Crusaders vs. Red Land Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            Bishop McDevitt posted their closest  victory since May 11, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  5-3  win over the Red Land Patriots.
 Tyler Shroy made a splash no matter where he played. He  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He is becoming a predictor of Bishop McDevitt's success: when he allows at  most three  hits the team is 2-1 (and 4-10 when he doesn't). Shroy was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.

 In other batting news,  Joel McNaughton was  incredible,  going 1-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Easton Comp, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  double.
Bishop McDevitt's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Red Land,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-13.
Bishop McDevitt will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday.
