Softball Recap: Shoemaker Takes a Loss

Shoemaker lost to Harker Heights back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Grey Wolves took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Grey Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Yanimarie Nieves was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Shoemaker now has a losing record of 12-13-3. As for Harker Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

Shoemaker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harker Heights, they will take on Temple at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
