C District 1 (8 Man) recap November 5, 2013
Shattuck added to the longest winning streak in C District 1 (8 Man) this week by beating Boise City, 52-12. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Indians.
Sharon-Mutual took down Goodwell/Yarbrough 56-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cooper Free threw for 22 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 329 yards in the win.
Sharon-Mutual's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Free has thrown for 429 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Ben Cooper has 17 catches for 269 yards. Free also leads the league in rushing with 1,812 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Trojans and Shattuck. Sharon-Mutual enters the game ranked sixth in the state, while Troy Bullard's team ranks fifth.
Buffalo made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 747 from 828. The improvement was largely due to a 36-26 victory over Tyrone last week.
