Football Recap: Kennedy Memorial Extends Winning Streak to Four

Kennedy Memorial came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the North Plainfield Canucks 33-13. 33 seems to be a good number for the Mustangs as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Kennedy Memorial was led to victory by Fiheem Howell and Grant Lorentzen. Howell rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns, while Lorentzen picked up 181 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. With that strong performance, Lorentzen is now averaging an impressive 107.1 receiving yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Richie Trotman, who threw for 181 yards and two TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes.

Kennedy Memorial's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for North Plainfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

The Crusaders' defense has only allowed 14.6 points per game this season, so the Canucks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
