Volleyball Game Preview: Millennium Tigers vs. Chandler Wolves

The Millennium Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Chandler Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Millennium is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Sunnyslope, who was ranked 17th at the time (Millennium was ranked 22nd). The Tigers fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Monday.

Millennium actually scored more points across those five sets (108-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 16-25, 13-25, 27-25, 15-11.

Millennium's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Tran, who had ten digs and three assists, and Isaac Sanchez, who had 22 kills, 13 digs, three blocks, and two aces. Tran has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, in Tuesday's Canine Competition, Chandler came out on top. They blew past Hamilton 3-0 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won six in a row.

While Chandler won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 25-21.

Chandler pushed their record up to 19-11-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Millennium, their loss dropped their record down to 19-13.
