Basketball Recap: North Hagerstown Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Hagerstown can now relate to. They came up short against the Manchester Valley Mavericks on Friday, falling 43-22. The loss continues a trend for the Hubs in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now lost four in a row.

Manchester Valley was led to victory by Emma Penczek and Emma Shaffer. Penczek posted 12 points, while Shaffer earned ten points. Those ten points gave Shaffer a new career-high.

North Hagerstown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Manchester Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8.

North Hagerstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manchester Valley, they will challenge Westminster at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
