Basketball Recap: Suncoast Comes Up Short

Suncoast's tournament run continued when they took on Mater Lakes Academy on Friday. The Suncoast Chargers lost to the Mater Lakes Academy Bears at home by a 65-46 margin.

Suncoast has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Mater Lakes Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Suncoast will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dwyer at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Mater Lakes Academy also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Sports Leadership & Management at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
