Softball Game Preview: Davis Sr. Blue Devils vs. Rodriguez Mustangs

The Davis Sr. Blue Devils will face off against the Rodriguez Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Davis Sr. is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Franklin as they made off with a 10-3 victory. Ten seems to be a good number for the Blue Devils as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Kaytlin LeBar-Triepke made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 20 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, Molly Roseen was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Yao, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Davis Sr. lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Rodriguez posted their closest victory since March 17th on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Sheldon 10-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Alanna Williams was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with three runs and one stolen base. Anne Wilde was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Davis Sr.'s win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Rodriguez, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.
