Basketball Game Preview: Blackville-Hilda Fighting Hawks vs. North Eagles

The Blackville-Hilda Fighting Hawks are taking a road trip to face off against the North Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Blackville-Hilda came up short against Andrew Jackson Academy and fell 59-52.

Meanwhile, North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 68-43 to Orangeburg-Wilkinson. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Blackville-Hilda will need focus on slowing down Stetson Stacks, one of several North players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 of 12 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. The game was Stacks' tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaleil Way, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 17 points.

Blackville-Hilda now has a losing record at 2-3. As for North, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Blackville-Hilda was taken down by North 84-53 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Stacks, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards.
