Basketball Game Preview: Dale County Warriors vs. Wicksburg Panthers

The Dale County Warriors will head out to face off against the Wicksburg Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Thursday, Dale County came up short against Houston Academy and fell 81-69. The Warriors have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Wicksburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Carroll 69-37. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 379th, while the Eagles are ranked 81st).

Wicksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Dale County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Dale County took their victory against Wicksburg in their previous meeting back in November by a conclusive 56-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dale County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
