            Softball Recap: Pace Patriots vs. Crestview Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Pace never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Crestview on Friday. They were the clear victors by  a  10-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  win against them.

Pace got a great performance from  Hannah DeMarcus as she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. DeMarcus has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than ten  strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Britten Kettler was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs and four  RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Kamryn Pierce, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Pace pushed their record up to 15-2 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  on the road dating back to last season. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Crestview, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record  this season.
 Coincidentally, Pace and Crestview will both be playing Niceville the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will  host the Eagles at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday, while the Patriots will  host them  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
