Baseball Recap: Pleasant Hope Takes a Loss

Pleasant Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the Fordland Eagles. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pleasant Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Fordland, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Pleasant Hope will head out to challenge Lighthouse Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Fordland, they are taking a road trip to take on Hartville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
