Soccer Game Preview: Prattville vs. Tuscaloosa County

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Prattville duke it out with Tuscaloosa County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Prattville's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Prattville fell victim to Chelsea and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to the Hornets. While losing is never fun, Prattville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Chelsea are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tuscaloosa County). They never let Holt get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for Tuscaloosa County in their matchups with Holt: they've now won eight in a row.

Tuscaloosa County's offense was hitting Holt from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Carolina Alvarez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Tuscaloosa County's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Prattville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1.
