Softball Recap: Viborg/Hurley Cougars vs. Avon Pirates
Viborg/Hurley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Avon Pirates.
For Avon's part, they got a massive performance out of Macy Voigt, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Ashley Tolsma was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Viborg/Hurley's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Avon, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
