Baseball Recap: Kimball's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Kimball had lost five games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 9-15 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the West Wolfpack 4-3. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 6-1 win on Wednesday.

Dawson Pelech spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Derek Aranda was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of James Isler, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

As for West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17-1 record this season. Wolfpack fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Kimball since on Friday.

On West's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Armstrong, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Ty Banchero was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
