Softball Preview: Crane Pirates vs. Billings Wildcats

Crane is 7-0 against Billings since April of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Crane Pirates are on the road again to play the Billings Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Crane will be strutting in after a victory while Billings will be coming in after a defeat.

Meanwhile, Billings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-7 to Clever. That's two games in a row now that Billings has lost by exactly six runs.

Brooke Collison was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Kyla Essick was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Crane's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Billings, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Everything went Crane's way against Billings in their previous matchup back in April as Crane made off with a 12-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crane since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
