Basketball Recap: Academic Magnet Comes Up Short

Academic Magnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 63-40 to the Bishop England Battling Bishops. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raptors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-46 last Wednesday.

Academic Magnet's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Bishop England, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Academic Magnet will venture away from home to face off against Hanahan at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop England, they will head out on the road to square off against Wando at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
