Soccer Game Preview: Borger vs. Dumas

The Borger Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Dumas Demons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dumas took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Borger, who comes in off a win.

Borger had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the eight-goal drubbing they dealt Pampa on Friday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Harvesters. Considering Borger have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Dumas fell victim to Randall and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, Dumas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 540th, while Randall are ranked 232nd).

Dumas' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-6. As for Borger, their win bumped their record up to 6-1-2.

Everything went Borger's way against Dumas in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, as Borger made off with a 6-0 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Demons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
