Basketball Recap: East Davidson Comes Up Short

East Davidson was the 57-44 winner over Southwestern Randolph when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The East Davidson Golden Eagles took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwestern Randolph Cougars.

Southwestern Randolph's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julian Mosley, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 18 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Mosley a new career-high in points. Brayden Chapman was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven rebounds.

East Davidson's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Southwestern Randolph, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.

East Davidson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-22 loss against North Davidson on the 17th. As for Southwestern Randolph, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-48 defeat against Providence Grove on the 17th.
