Baseball Game Preview: Canutillo Eagles vs. Hanks Knights

The Canutillo Eagles will take on the Hanks Knights in a tournament on Saturday. Canutillo's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Hanks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Canutillo saw some tournament action on Friday. Neither they nor Da Vinci could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 6-6 tie.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Hanks and Burges, and Burges kept the tradition alive. Hanks fell just short of Burges by a score of 4-2 on Friday.

With that tie, Canutillo's record moves to 7-4-2. As for Hanks, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Canutillo skirted past Hanks 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Canutillo repeat their success, or does Hanks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
