Mount Airy had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt Maiden on Friday. The Granite Bears' defense stepped up to hand the Blue Devils a 4-0 shutout. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Mount Airy considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

They hit Maiden with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Chris Castillo, Ricky Mijes, Chase Kniskern, and Aiden Armenta.

Mount Airy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Maiden, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
