Softball Recap: Bremen Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Bremen finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They lost 16-2 to the Shepard Astros. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Astros recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Brooke Gluszek made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Bremen's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Shepard, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Bremen has already played their next match (against Stagg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Shepard, they will take on Reavis at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Astros' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
