Basketball Recap: Redington's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Redington hadn't done well against Nikiski recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Redington Huskies walked away with a 45-33 victory over the Nikiski Bulldogs. While the Huskies didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Nikiski, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Redington has already played their next game (against Unalaska), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Nikiski will venture away from home to face off against Barrow at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Barrow will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Nikiski surely won't give up without a fight.
