Despite the defeat, Maritime Academy Charter saw an underclassman step up: Andy Figueroa scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Figueroa has scored all season. Zibri Miller was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Maritime Academy Charter struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Maritime Academy Charter dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Academy at Palumbo, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
