After a string of four wins, Coffee County Central's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Columbia Central Lions by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in September.

Columbia Central was led to victory by Gabby Bolton and Lily Stutts. Bolton had 38 digs and two aces, while Stutts had 14 digs. Those 38 digs gave Bolton a new career-high.

Coffee County Central's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Columbia Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Coffee County Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbia Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Lincoln County on the 9th.
