Football Recap: Ridgeland Titans vs. Neshoba Central Rockets
Ridgeland extended their postseason success on Friday against Neshoba Central. They came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 55-45. The victory was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on six straight.
Johnathan Henningburg had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 168 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Another rusher making a difference was Ashton Gorden, who rushed for 149 yards and one score on only 14 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ridgeland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 556 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 191 rushing yards in 17 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Ridgeland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Javeon Johnson and Trae Collins. Collins got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Despite the defeat, Neshoba Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore D'Aangelo Boler rushed for 115 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. Those 115 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Boler. Neshoba Central also got help from Kaisen Greer, who showed off his sure hands for 116 receiving yards.
Ridgeland's record now sits at 11-1. As for Neshoba Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Looking ahead, Ridgeland will square off against Warren Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neshoba Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
