Softball Recap: Ruston Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Ruston was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They came up short against the Pineville Rebels, falling 13-1. The contest marked the Bearcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ruston saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Foster, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Ruston is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7. As for Pineville, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Ruston Bearcats duke it out with Neville Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pineville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alexandria at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
