Baseball Game Preview: Tensas Academy Chiefs vs. Wilkinson County Christian Academy Rams

For the first time this season, Tensas Academy will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will challenge the Wilkinson County Christian Academy Rams at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

After dropping their season opener at home, Wilkinson County Christian Academy is headed out to face a Chiefs squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Tensas Academy fell 11-7 to River Oaks on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Wilkinson County Christian Academy hadn't done well against Ben's Ford Christian recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Eagles. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Beau Deville was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Deville was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Justin Hendry, who scored three runs and stole two bases. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season.
