Soccer Recap: Morenci Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Morenci was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They lost 8-0 to the Thatcher Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Morenci dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Thatcher, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Morenci has already played their next game (against ALA - Anthem South), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Thatcher will face off against Safford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Thatcher is facing Safford at the right time seeing as Safford is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
