After three games on the road, Denver Christian is heading back home. They will take on the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dayspring Christian Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Denver Christian, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Denver Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Dawson School, taking the game 45-38.
Meanwhile, Dayspring Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kiowa.
Dayspring Christian Academy's defeat came about despite a quality game from Owen Mcclanahan, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcclanahan has scored all season.
Denver Christian pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Everything went Denver Christian's way against Dayspring Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as Denver Christian made off with a 49-29 victory.
