Softball Recap: Orange Gets the Win

While Orange put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Carrboro. The Panthers blew past the Jaguars 20-0. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Lexi Bowes looked comfortable as she tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hayleigh Hammond was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run and four runs. Kylee Allen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Orange always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2025.

Orange's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Carrboro, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Orange will square off against Southeast Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carrboro, they will face off against Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
