The Eldorado Eagles will square off against the Santa Fe Demons at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Eldorado is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
Eldorado's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Manzano as they made off with a 12-0 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Monarchs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Myka Gallegos and Alyssa Martinez did most of the damage at the plate: Gallegos went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Martinez got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. What's more, Martinez posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Leena England, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Eldorado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 9-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
La Cueva hit Santa Fe with a four-run first inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Demons came up short against the Bears, falling 12-1. The Demons have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Santa Fe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabriella Chavez, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Santa Fe's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Eldorado, their win bumped their record up to 11-14.
Eldorado got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Santa Fe by a conclusive 9-3 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Demons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
