Basketball Recap: Putnam Takes a Loss

Putnam played a tough matchup on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Parish Hill Pirates 52-22. The game marked the Clippers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Parish Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julie Millerd led the charge by going 6 of 14 en route to 17 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Those 17 points gave Millerd a new career-high. Hannah Becker was another key player, putting up 13 points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Putnam has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Parish Hill, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Putnam will challenge Westbrook at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Parish Hill, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 44-40 win against CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] on the 16th.
