Baseball Recap: Colfax-Mingo Takes a Loss

Colfax-Mingo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 13-9 to the Iowa Valley Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigerhawks of the 7-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2024.

Colfax-Mingo's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Iowa Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Colfax-Mingo will head out to square off against H-L-V at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.11 runs per game on average), something the Tigerhawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. Iowa Valley has already played their next match (against Montezuma), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
