Baseball Recap: Randolph School Comes Up Short

Randolph School's last matchup with Whitesburg Christian Academy could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. Randolph School lost 12-6 to Whitesburg Christian Academy. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Jaxton Bennett was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Weglage, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

This is the second loss in a row for Randolph School and nudges their season record down to 5-8. As for Whitesburg Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

While Randolph School had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
