Softball Recap: St. Pius X's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Five

St. Pius X waltzed into their contest on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let TMI-Episcopal get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory.

Jessica Muniz 2026 made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Muniz 2026 was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Rebecca Balke 2028 was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abi Odom 2025, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

St. Pius X was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as TMI-Episcopal only posted a batting average of .062.

St. Pius X's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for TMI-Episcopal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

As of now, neither St. Pius X nor TMI-Episcopal have any future games scheduled.
