Baseball Recap: Head-Royce Falls Short of American Canyon in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Head-Royce couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 6-2 to the American Canyon Wolves on Saturday.

Head-Royce got a good showing from Judah Forst, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Davis Lynch was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Head-Royce's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-7. As for American Canyon, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-14 record this season.

Head-Royce does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for American Canyon, they will head out to challenge Clear Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
