Softball Recap: Richland Triumphs

Richland proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 15) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Allen Eagles.

Justyce Malone was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Berklee Shannon, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Richland's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Allen, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Richland has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 loss against Flower Mound on the 21st. As for Allen, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-2 win against Lone Star on the 21st.
