Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Huskies vs. Millbrook Wildcats

Heritage is 1-9 against Millbrook since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Heritage Huskies will host the Millbrook Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Heritage turned things around against Wake Forest on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 36-22 win over the Cougars.

Millbrook played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They strolled past Wake Forest with points to spare, taking the game 51-34. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Heritage better focus on containing Lauren Brown and Lucy Ellis as the pair were huge in Millbrook's win. Brown dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Ellis posted 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Brown a new career-high in blocks (six). Another player making a difference was Korryn Dixon, who had seven points and three steals.

Millbrook was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wake Forest only posted six assists.

Millbrook's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.

Heritage didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Millbrook in their previous matchup on January 9th, but they still walked away with a 50-46 win. Does Heritage have another victory up their sleeve, or will Millbrook turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
