Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Miami). Their defense stepped up to hand the Mingo Valley Christian Eagles a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for Miami as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Miami picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Mingo Valley Christian, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miami will venture away from home to square off against Glenpool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mingo Valley Christian, they will head out to face off against Wright Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. This will be Mingo Valley Christian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
