Volleyball Game Preview: Hackett Hornets vs. Shiloh Christian Saints

The Hackett Hornets will head out on the road to challenge the Shiloh Christian Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Hackett is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arkansas' top teams: Valley View, who was ranked 11th at the time (Hackett was ranked 21st). The Hornets fell 2-0 to the Blazers on Saturday. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Shiloh Christian entered their tilt with Harrison on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Goblins by a score of 3-1.

Shiloh Christian walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 25-7.

Hackett better focus on containing Bristol Bonanno and Kennedy Brown as the pair were huge in Shiloh Christian's win. Bonanno had 20 digs and three aces, while Brown had 26 assists and nine digs. With that strong performance, Brown is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game.

Hackett's loss dropped their record down to 16-4-2. As for Shiloh Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-6-1.

Hackett beat Shiloh Christian 3-1 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
