Central Gwinnett scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Parkview, 33-20. At the time, the Panthers were ranked seventh in the state, while the Black Knights were 50th.

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Parkview, who took down seventh ranked Parkview, 33-20.

Central Gwinnett's Eman Westmoreland and Justin Brownlee have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading AAAAAA Region 8 in both passing and receiving yards. Westmoreland has thrown for 1342 yards this season, while Brownlee, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 51 catches for 809 yards. Archer's Sean Fowler leads the league in rushing yards with 1053.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Brookwood and South Gwinnett. The Broncos comes into the matchup ranked 21st in the state, while the Comets ranks 11th.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Tigers take on Grayson. Archer's offense has racked up 244 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Rams have allowed only 71 on the year.

Berkmar moved up to 198 from 224 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAAAAA Region 8. The Patriots climbed the ranks as a result of losing to Brookwood 41-27.
