Lincoln has gone 9-1 against Prairie Grove recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wolves will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lincoln's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Providence Academy with a sharp 7-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Tuesday. Prairie Grove blew past Green Forest 23-0. The victory continues a trend for Prairie Grove in their matchups with Green Forest: they've now won four in a row.

Angelina Petersen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Jill Emerson and Ivey Sparkman did most of the damage at the plate: Emerson got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Sparkman scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Kayte Struve was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Prairie Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Lincoln back to even at 7-7. As for Prairie Grove, their record now sits at 8-6.

Lincoln beat Prairie Grove 3-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
